Sting Ray Adventure and Nassau

Fishy! Look how white the sand is! And there's Diana Snorkeling!

This is a sweet pic I happened to get! The eye of a sting ray and a fish. Then you can see the sting ray right over my foot! Then there is us making the "drive thru" we held fish out under the water and then they swim right over it and suck it right up!

BlackBeard's cay, so beautiful!

Above: you can see the resort Atlantis in the distance, we didn't make it over there this trip but we did hear that the aquariums, etc were incredible! And on the right we are all ready to snorkel with the rays!

Me and Diana on the boat ride to Black Beard's Cay

The first stop that we made on the cruise ship was Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas. We decided that we wanted to do an excursion and we ended up picking the stingray adventure! We did that the second half of the day, on Blackbeard's Cay, which was so gorgeous! We got to feed, pet and hold the stingrays, it was very cool to see how they swim and to feel the vacuum as they find the food! Don't worry though, these sting rays had their stingers removed so we wouldn't go the way of Steve Erwin (may he R.I.P.) The first part of the day we spent in the city shopping. The first thing that happens when you walk in is 500 people offer you a taxi and 50 ladies want to braid your hair. Then you pretty much just have to keep walking or they will convince you that you need it. The day that we were supposed to go to the cruiseline's private island there was an undertow that made it so we couldn't ride the tender boats onto the beach and so we got stuck on the ship for a whole day. I was sad because we were supposed to go parasailing that day! So we spent the whole day lounging on the pool deck soaking up some rays (it was sooo hot) and reading, sleeping, relaxing so it wasn't too bad.
