Today is my very last day working in the ER. I can't believe that I've been here for three years and now I'm hitting the road. To where? I got a job at SelectHealth, the insurance part of Intermountain. I am excited for my new job, don't get me wrong, but it's hard to avoid the nostalgia! Many people from the ER, past and present, are like my family. They have seen me on my best and worst days and I never feel alone when I am here. I have so many memories here and I have learned so much. I am forever grateful for the blessing it has been to work here. Now for a few memories:
* G.F. trying to set me up with an EKG tech, who is happily married with 2 kids. Not to mention a democrat. ha ha and I am pretty positive that he will read this.
* My first cruise was with ER people who will forever remain among my besties! All I can say is"What the Hell?" ha ha
* My first code blue. I will never forget the cries of that girl barely older than me calling for her husband. Good thing I know that families are forever!
*Jared, the cookie monster.
*Staying up all night. Especially in the early days when we could watch movies and youtube on our laptops and laugh hysterically.
* Being teased everyday about something.
*going to Jackson Hole, Lagoon, the cabin, up the canyon, etc, etc. with many of my favorites.
*The pleasure that comes from waking up (mean) doctors in the middle of the night.
*Paging Dr. Fullmer 40 times on his last day to appease the demands of Dr. Kallas.
* Exciting traumas and patients who put stuff where they ought not to.
*Teasing Tina about the creepy people who have a crush on her and the comments of their back seat capabilities.
*Missy and her ever famous cartoons.
*Barb setting me up with my very best friend ;)
Okay, that's enough rambling and I haven't even scratched the surface. If you have a memory of me in the ER comment it to me! So I am going to miss everyone but I am very ready for a change. So thanks to all my ER friends I love you and I really hope that I am not a slacker and stay in touch! I am sure that better hours, better pay, a manager who appreciates me already and the ever coveted internet access will make the adjustment period much easier. Atleast I hope. This is Rachel from Utah Valley ER signing off. Till next week.

Congrats on the new job! You'll definately be missed; the er just isn't the same without you. Oh and by the way, who's this GF? :) It took me a second to figure out who this EKG tech was
