I had the pleasure of going on a grand adventure to California with my favorite person Chase and our friends Abram and Melissa. We drove down on Friday the 21st of May. This was a huge milestone for me because I had never driven South of Nephi. I drove all the way to St. George! We stopped in Vegas for my first trip to Buffalo Wild Wings (yummy) and then continued on to Anaheim. When we finally got there (blasted traffic!) we went swimming at the hotel.
Then we went to Costco to get food for the rest of the trip. Then the men grilled up some yummy hamburgers. This is Chase getting mad at me for interrupting the grilling ha ha.

We went to sleep and anxiously anticipated the next day! I woke everyone up bright and early because it was the day for Disneyland and I wanted to be there when the gates opened! I expected it to be much busier because it was a Saturday but the longest we waited for any ride was 35 minutes for the Finding Nemo submarines. Also, funny part about while we were in line for Finding Nemo Abram goes look there's the king from Aladdin. Nope, actully it was just a man who was wearing a turban and was likely from the middle east. I thought I was going to die laughing. We made it on all the big rides except Splash Mountain which was closed. I made everyone run from ride to ride and I have to admit Disneyland is my favorite place on earth. I can't not smile when I am there! Chase got to experience California Adventure for the first time and thought it was pretty neat. Both of us thought that Space Mountain was still the best! While we were there they were having a CCI demonstration in Downtown Disney so we headed down there to see if I knew anyone. Simi, the lady that trained my brother's dog was there it was great to see her and some others. Plus there were some adorable puppies there!

After Disneyland we went to watch some ReAL Salt Lake play Chivas USA. It was really awesome to see a different soccer stadium and I am still jealous that Chivas have cheerleaders and RSL doesn't. (I would volunteer but...)Chivas play in the same stadium as the LA Galaxy better know as David Beckham's team (or Landon Donovan depending on your tastes) The game was great and they won in the last second 2-1. We made some confetti and Chase threw it and the Mexicans around us cheered ha ha. I should mention that it was super windy and it was so freezing! Poor Chase had to be wrapped in scarves to keep his arms warm.







The next day we went to Hollywood! We went and walked on some of the stars and went to a wax museum, world record museum and Ripley's believe it or not museum. They were all pretty cool! Although I think the best part was when I was waiting to get a picture taken by Batman and Alfred a kid says that one looks real and I realized he was looking right at me. I just said I am real. He was so embarrassed and I had a good laugh about it. Next we drove to Santa Monica beach which was super beautiful but once again it was super cold and windy so we just walked around the pier and then we returned to the hotel and made some spaghetti and played SkipBo and Monopoly Fast Pass.













The next day we went to the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. You have to get there super early and get in line. We ended up being 13 to 16 in line. We were a bit disappointed because it seems like those who were dressed skaniest were front and center. We were in the front row right where the band plays. Russell Brand (Get him to the Greek, Bedtime Stories, host of the VMA's) was the main guest that night. He was pretty funny but mostly crude. During one of the breaks he climbed in to the stands right by us and almost fell right on top of me! yikes. I was glad we got to go when we did because Kevin Eubanks has since left the show and he was one of my favorite parts. Before they start the show they tell you they are going to give prizes to the best audience members so smile, cheer and laugh at the right times. Chase won a hat because he started cheering when Jay was talking about the Lakers losing. ha ha After that we drove home which took forever thanks to traffic made some tacos and I passed out early. The next day we got up super early and drove to the studio where Price is Right is held. Well we apparently were not there early enough. We were in the 200's and they told it was highly likely we wouldn't get in. We decided to chance it so we went and got some Denny's (first time I have ever seen a bathroom that you have to pay to use it!) and then went back. There were tons of huge groups and they get priority over the smaller groups and so we missed getting by about 20 people. Next time I will know what to do though! (It's on my bucket list so I HAVE to!) After that we drove to Primm, Nevada and checked into our hotel Whiskey Pete's. We went to the outlets and did a little shopping and then swam. We went to dinner at the hotel's restaurant. I ate the huuuuggggestt piece of chocolate cake! I was super hyper and that's what I felt like eating.

When we got done eating I went up to a penny slot in the casino and bet 30 cents and ta duh! I won 15 bucks! Then we played some video poker and blackjack. I didn't do so well with these but Chase ended up winning 60 dollars. The next morning we woke up checked out and drove straight through to home. We didn't stop once. I thought I was going to starve to death! It was an awesome vacation and I am so glad that Chase didn't decide to leave me in the desert for driving him nuts ha ha!
