I still don't quite believe that 2011 is almost over, this year has flown by. It's been a good one with lots of changes and adventures. New job in January, and I still love it (well, most of the time), engaged in February, cruise in March, wedding in June, "first" camping trip over the Fourth. Then, Lake Powell in August, cat accident in October, camping at Goblin Valley for Thanksgiving, Christmas and closing on our first home in December!
Anyways.... other good news. I have such an amazing husband. Seriously, he has worked so many extra shifts to help get the down payment together plus pay all of our bills. He's a Senior at UVU now so the end is actually in sight! Plus, he is nice to me and brings me food/drinks/signatures, etc at work. Plus he let me drag him to Goblin Valley State Park for Thanksgiving. Yes, it was very, very chilly! It was about 17 degrees at night and we were sleeping in a tent. Plus, we went on a 8 mile hike which was a first for him and he did so awesome! We had a fun time but we were glad to be home and sleep in our warm beds and be able to hide for the awful wind. I hope we have more adventures like this soon!
I feel so blessed right now, nothing big to complain about really! Well, except moving but it's to a bigger, better, brighter place! And the fact that we are supposed to move in in 3 days and the seller is in Mexico and hasn't finished moving out... lame. Oh well. Other than that we are ecstatic! ( It's in Spanish Fork so I will be close to my family but not too far from work and school for Chase and I. It has a garage and backyard and some other stuff... It's super cute and I can't wait to get all my stuff put away so people can come see it!)
I love this season and the opportunity it gives us to remember that we need to serve others and show charity towards all of our Heavenly Father's children. I am so grateful for the gospel in my life and all the comfort, strength and happiness that it brings me. I hope that everyone had an amazing Christmas and looks forward to the adventures that 2012 will bring.
Love you all!
